Mark Schwenk, AKA "The Doctor", has been playing music since the 80's. A skilled and versatile musician, he fluently plays 5 instruments, and dabbles in 7 others. A mainstay of the Chicago area music scene for years, Mark made his name as the bassist and vocalist for the band Triangle in the mid 80's, and as the Vocalist for Prophecy in the late 80's until he answered the call to join the band Blacklyst. Originally starting out as bass and backing vocalist, he eventually took over as the Lead Vocalist as well, and led Blacklyst to it's record deal with Iron Glory Records. Wanting to stretch his musical wings further, Mark has taken on "The Doctor Project", a new solo act where he plays all the instruments and does all the vocals in a recording. Live show has a backing band, and Mark moves from instrument to instrument, playing all, as well as doing the lead vocals for all songs. A true showman and songwriter, it's always full speed ahead for The Doctor!!! So buckle up!!!!

This is the official site to get information and updates on The Doctor Project. The idea here is to remind people what music is supposed to be. Fun, and spontaneous, with plenty of variety instead of retuning so you can only play songs in one key, as well as not tuning so low it's insane. Music can have natural power, you don't need to tune way the hell down to get artificial power.
